Misleading column on climate science - LTE San Diego Union
Re: “World turns cold on 'climate urgency' ” (Opinion, July 23):

Columnist George F. Will complains that China is slow to act on climate change, so we should do nothing? Then he feeds more misinformation to climate skeptics. His statements dupe and degrade the political will to solve this crisis.
Other countries look to us to lead the way. “Cap and trade” will not solve the problem, but it is a first step. Pricing carbon will effectively reduce CO2 emissions quickly. A revenue-neutral carbon tax will return money to taxpayers and stimulate renewable fuel technologies. Youthful clamors for action will come, but their voices are undermined by Will's disloyalty to science and to their future.

Thanks for entertaining a
Thanks for entertaining a naive lurker's suggestion:
I would be curious to see you apply the level of scrutiny/auditing you give to IPCC's "core" contributors florida mortgage, to the more core "skeptics" such as Lindzen, Christy, etc. Those names might not be the right ones- I'm no expert, but I thinnk you get my point. Shouldnt we be reviewing their findings/conclusions/archiving skills/methods/reproducible-ness/stonewalling skills with the same level of skepticism that we have for IPCC? I'm no IPCC worshipper, just thought it would be interesting to see if you find the same level of scientific sloppiness in the "skeptics" camp. It would add an new and interesting balance to your site- unless I missed all those audits elsewhere on your blog- which is possible.
Thanks for your interesting work here all- it's a daily stop in my surfing routine connecticut real estate
Steve: I've explained on many occasions that there's only so much that I can do as an individual. I'm already swamped with topics. I really don't see how I can handle much more. I try to do things that no one else is doing. There's already lots of criticism of the authors that you mention, so trying to do lengthy analyses of these articles can hardly be justified as a priority. If the IPCC were relying on these studies alabama real estate, then I would definitely spend the time to look at them. But they aren't. I realize that this leaves an impression that may seem a bit one-sided, but I don't see how I can do much about it as one person. Leif SValgaard is very critical of most skeptical solar theories and I've provided him with a platform to criticise some of the solar theories that I can't cover.
Of the names you mention, though, I've had contact with Christy, who places his data online meticulously and who provided his code to Mears and Wentz (who criticized it.) I have no reason to give him anything other than a clean bill of health. If Team scientists were like Christy arkansas real estate, none of the frustrating archiving problems would exist.
