CREATING  A  CLIMATE  FOR  CHANGE

CCL's 2013 International Conference in Washington, June 23-25

CALLING ALL CLIMATE HEROES!

Plan on joining us this summer when activists from across the U.S. and Canada gather for CCL's 4th annual conference. Our keynote speakers will be Dr. James Hansen, NASA scientist and author of "Storms of My Grandchildren" (left), and Dr. Shi-Ling Hsu, author of "The Case for a Carbon Tax." Click here for details.

Our 2012 conference was attended by 175 volunteers who held 303 meetings on Capitol Hill. Read a report on the 2012 conference here.

NEXT NATIONAL CONFERENCE CALL, Saturday, June 1, 1 p.m. EST, 10 a.m. PST

Keeling Curve and Speaking the Issues

On the June call, we’ll have an abbreviated educational section, with Dr. Lauren Rafelski (right) from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography explaining the Keeling Curve and the 400 parts per million milestone that was passed last month. The rest of the call will be devoted to an essential activity that few of us take the time to do: practicing our speaking so that we become fluent in communicating all the issues that are critical to our success as climate advocates.

The Carbon Fee and Dividend Act - Download PDF
At Citizens Climate Lobby, we believe that our national policy on climate change should be a match for the science. Toward that end, we offer the following legislation that will achieve the critical goals needed to avert catastrophic climate change. We believe this legislation can achieve these goals while at the same time shielding Americans from the financial impact of transitioning to a clean-energy economy. Our volunteers are bringing this proposal to their members of Congress. If you would like to take our legislation to your member of Congress, please get in touch and we'll be happy to support your efforts. Write to us at ccl@citizensclimatelobby.org.
