Join the Citizens’ Climate Lobby Berowra Chapter
North Western Sydney: Hornsby, Pennant Hills, Cherrybrook, Dural and other suburbs, NSW, Australia
Our electorate takes its name from beautiful Berowra Waters.
Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization empowering people to exercise their personal and political power. Our chapter is one of hundreds around the world working to create the political will for a livable world. We’ve seen that passionate citizens who are well-trained, organized by electorate, and with a good system of support can influence the political process.
We are working for the passage of Carbon Fee and Dividend, the climate change solution economists and climate scientists say is the “best first-step” to preventing the worst impacts of a warming world. Our market-based, revenue neutral, Carbon Fee and Dividend policy will drastically reduce emissions, create jobs, improve health, and support small businesses and families.
Julian Leeser is our federal Member of Parliament. Berowra electortate covers an area of approximately 782 sq km from Brooklyn and the Hawkesbury River in the north, to Pennant Hills and Beecroft in the south west, the Pacific Highway and the Sydney to Newcastle Freeway, Cockle and Cowan Creeks in the east, Hawkesbury River, Cattai Creek, Boundary Road, McGuires Road and Citadel Creek in the west. Suburbs include Arcadia, Berowra, Brooklyn, Cheltenham, Cherrybrook, Cowan, Dangar Island, Galston, Glenorie, Maroota, Middle Dural, Mount Kuring-gai, Normanhurst, Pennant Hills, Sackville North, Thornleigh, Westleigh and parts of Asquith, Beecroft, Carlingford, Castle Hill, Cattai, Dural, Hornsby, Lower Portland, Maraylya, Mount Colah, Wahroonga, Waitara, West Pennant Hills and Wisemans Ferry.
