Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization that lobbies Congress to pass legislation that will (a) quickly and efficiently reduce carbon emissions and (b) will not create a financial hardship for lower-income Americans. These are exactly the design goals of The Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act of 2019 (H.R. 763).
We have ZOOM working meetings on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month @ 7pm. All are welcome to our zoom calls. To be added to the zoom meeting email list, send contact us at and you will receive the zoom link and agenda a day or two before the meeting.
We are working for the passage of H.R. 763, a federal Carbon Fee and Dividend, the climate change solution economists and climate scientists alike say is the “best first-step” to preventing the worst impacts of a warming world. We also support Massachusetts state carbon pricing bills, S1924 An Act to Combat Climate Change and H2810 An Act to Promote Green Infrastructure and Reduce Carbon Emissions.
The market-based Carbon Fee and Dividend policy will drastically reduce emissions, create jobs, and support small businesses and families — all without growing government.
We invite each member to participate at a level that fits your available time and interests. We do tabling, film screenings, presentations, letters to the editor. Our events have become virtual since the advent of Covid, and we look forward to the time when we can gather in person again.
Find what you like to do, and join us. We are eager to meet you.
