Third Coast Regional Director
Susan Adams is the Third Coast Regional Director, which includes Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Susan found her way to CCL in August of 2012, when her neighbor and friend asked if she’d be interested in co-founding the first Austin chapter. Since then, she has seen the Austin area grow to support five chapters. During her time as a CCL volunteer, she has served in many roles, including group leader, Congressional liaison, media outreach coordinator, and constituent letter guru.
In addition to her experience volunteering with CCL, she draws from her decades of experience working as a computer software professional managing projects across diverse, multicultural teams. Most recently, she was the Managing Editor for an online community of over a million IT professionals, working on new strategies to attract and engage over 6 million unique visitors per month.
When not working on stabilizing our climate, Susan enjoys spending time with her daughters and is the leader for both of their Girl Scout troops. She also enjoys catching local music in Austin, playing a very poor approximation of the fiddle, and reading.
