Are you a conservative
who’s concerned about climate change?

Meet the Conservative Caucus in CCL

We are citizens working across the country with our members of Congress on a market-based policy to address climate change risk. CCL is a non-partisan organization with a broad membership, including an active — and growing — Conservative Caucus.

We are laser focused both on a specific piece of legislation and a proven strategy to gain its passage. Our plan, The Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, is the one climate change solution conservative economists and climate scientists alike say is the most efficient way to reduce carbon emissions.

What are Conservatives Saying?

  • “I had a conversation with CCL, and they said ‘this is a problem and we’re wondering if you can help us solve this problem’, instead of ‘you’re the problem’.  That approach not only changed my mind about my involvement, but really changed my heart about what we should be doing.”

    Mia LoveMia LoveCongresswoman (R-UT)
  • "The Citizens’ Climate Lobby is an exceptional group that is pursuing an amazingly productive, substantive way to engage with members of Congress on both sides of the aisle."

    Lee ZeldinLee ZeldinCongressman (R-NY)
  • "I support what Citizens' Climate Lobby is doing and I support your Carbon Fee and Dividend solution.  It’s interesting to see a grassroots organization who’s actually doing something. I’m glad to be on Citizens' Climate Lobby's advisory panel."

George ShultzGeorge ShultzFormer Secretary of State under President Reagan and chair of the Hoover Institution’s Shultz-Stephenson Task Force
  • "CCL teems with enthusiasm and excitement in the search for solutions on climate change. Its positive spirit is its DNA. I'm grateful for the thousands who are devoted to the cause and open to free enterprise answers to climate change."

Bob InglisBob InglisFormer Republican Congressman and Executive Director of the Energy and Enterprise Initiative
  • "As individuals, our choices control more than a third of U.S. carbon emissions. The rest is out of our control as individuals--but not as constituents. That’s why CCL is so important. It gives the ordinary citizen a voice to tell our elected leaders we want a real price on carbon."

Dr. Katharine HayhoeDr. Katharine HayhoeAtmospheric Scientist and Director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University
  • "We know how to lead the way in stabilizing the climate, but it will not happen until we get the American public and Congress sufficiently interested. CCL is an action-based organization to do just that. I’m most impressed with the dedication and passion of CCL volunteers."

About Citizens’ Climate Lobby

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots organization which supports the power of the people rather than asking people to give power to headquarters.

Our Conservative Caucus is a group of Republican and conservative CCL volunteers working locally to identify and welcome new conservative volunteers into CCL, and nationally to engage and influence conservative thought leaders (e.g. media, think tanks, lobby groups, Republican Party organizations).
