Corporations spend millions on lobbying every year for one simple reason: lobbying works. Citizens’ Climate trains and supports a nonpartisan lobbying team for the climate.

Today only, your gift goes even further to make sure Congress hears from everyday people, not just corporate lobbyists.

If we raise $250,000 by midnight, our Climate Guardian donors will match it—unlocking another $250,000 to strengthen our grassroots climate advocacy nationwide.

Donations made to 501(c)(3) Citizens’ Climate Education (the button above) are tax-deductible. If you are able to make a non-tax-deductible donation, you can donate to 501(c)(4) Citizens’ Climate Lobby.

Driving citizen power where climate decisions are made

Your support powers the citizen lobbyists who shape climate action where it counts. Reaching our $1.25 million year-end goal—including unlocking our $250,000 Giving Tuesday bonus gift—ensures we can deliver this level of citizen power in every key moment of the year ahead.

We help advance federal policies that reduce future climate pollution, remove past emissions, and help communities adapt to the climate impacts they’re already experiencing.

In 2025 alone, we helped:

✅ Secure strong bipartisan votes for the Fix Our Forests Act in the House of Representatives (Jan. 2025) and the Senate Agriculture Committee (Oct. 2025).

âś… Improve the climate outcomes in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (July 2025). The bill rolled back effective climate provisions, but our advocacy helped prevent the worst cuts.

➡️ Advance a robust bipartisan conversation on energy permitting reform. Bipartisan groups of lawmakers and governors have since expressed support and published permitting reform recommendations (Sept. – Oct. 2025).

How are we making a change?

How are we making change?

We show Congress that climate action matters to people.

Ahead of the Senate Agriculture Committee vote on Fix Our Forests Act, we published a flurry of letters and op-eds in local media outlets targeting the Senators who would cast deciding votes.

We show Congress that climate action benefits their communities.

Throughout the fight to protect clean energy tax credits, we emphasized the job growth, local investments, and new clean energy projects that the tax credits had generated in certain districts or states.

We show Congress that climate action is politically safe.

With tens of thousands of constituent messages, calls and lobby meetings throughout the year, we help lawmakers understand the broad support that exists in their district or state for meaningful climate action.

Our work is primarily funded by grassroots donors like you. We take pride in the judicious use of every donation to ensure citizens have a voice in the climate policies that are passed.

Turn advocacy into law

Your support puts citizens in the room when Congress debates climate policy. Because of donors like you, major climate and clean energy legislation have become law, with more to come.

Nonpartisan. No nonsense. Citizen lobbyists.

Corporations don’t stop lobbying just because the administration changes. And neither do we.

In 2025, Citizens’ Climate is one of the few grassroots groups still shaping national climate policy.
