Vice President of Field Operations
Brett serves as CCL’s Vice President of Field Operations, leading and supporting a nationwide volunteer network through advocacy initiatives and training that empowers citizen lobbyists to be effective in working with Congress to enact strong climate policy.
Brett has been involved in CCL since he joined as a volunteer in 2011, serving in most of CCL’s roles across our volunteer leadership and Field Operations department.
Brett began his career in northern Minnesota as a wilderness program director and lead instructor for several outdoor education organizations. Connecting civic engagement with issues-based advocacy, Brett has taught undergraduate courses, high school social studies, and campus sustainability with dual master’s degrees in Education and Legislative Studies, and a PhD in Public Policy/Political Economy.
Brett lives in scenic Duluth, MN and enjoys time deepening community connections and exploring the outdoors with his family across all seasons.
