About Alison
Alison Holtzschue founded computers dot mom, LLC, in 1998, to provide technology education through personal support and a YouTube channel. Her primary focus is on making technology safe, accessible, and comprehensible for regular humans. Alison has been a passionate advocate for climate solutions since the 1990’s, with a particular focus on clean energy technology. She created a lightbulb workshop to introduce energy-efficient options to New Yorkers and co-authored a study on the challenges faced by NYC buildings in converting their heating systems from fossil fuels. Since joining Citizens’ Climate Lobby in 2019, she has served as a volunteer liaison to U.S. Senators Marco Rubio and Ashley Moody of Florida and has led numerous CCL lobby teams.
A native New Yorker, Alison is a graduate of Princeton University with a degree in English. She and her husband divide their time between Florida (winters) and NW Connecticut (summers), with frequent visits to children and grandchildren in California. She is a member of two book groups, loves theater, travel, gardening, birds, and wild animals at a safe distance.
