Karina Ramirez & Drew Eyerly

Citizens' Climate Lobby's Karina Ramirez and Drew Eyerly will present on "Understanding What You Don't Understand," which outlines the importance of working together while embracing differences.   Andrew (Drew) Eyerly serves as the Conservative Outreach Director. In his role, he lends a conservative voice and perspective to the organization’s mission while working to recruit, engage, and retain those right of center in the pursuit of a sustainable world. His path to climate advocacy through personal experience is a story that is relatable to many who identify as conservative. Prior to joining Citizens’ Climate Lobby, he served in the United States Army for 12 years as a Preventive Medicine Specialist and as a Medic completing tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Outside of CCL, he has a deep passion for conservation as a sportsman and can be regularly found in the woods or on the water.   Karina Ramirez (She/Her/Ella) joined CCL as a volunteer in 2017 and has served as Diversity & Inclusion Director since 2018. In her role, she supports volunteers and staff working toward inclusion and belonging efforts. She leads the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Monitoring Team at CCL, a staff-level group that provides feedback and tracks the organization’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion plan. She has supported the creation of several affinity teams at CCL including Latinos, People of the Global Majority, Climate & Culture, Asian Pacific, LGBTQIA+ and Allies Outreach, Listening to Indigenous Voices, and the Differently Abled Action Teams. Karina also supervises CCL’s Spanish-language efforts through our website (climavivible.org) and its social media accounts. When she is not working, she is volunteering at her local community garden and participates in local climate and community events. Karina is originally from Ecuador and lives in West Palm Beach, Florida.
