Great Lakes Regional Director
John Sabin has served CCL as one of our Great Lakes Regional Directors since 2019. He loves supporting volunteers in the region, with a special focus on the states of Ohio, Wisconsin, and Illinois. He became a CCL volunteer in 2016 and founded the Lorain County, Ohio chapter a few months later.
John has worked as a social worker since 1990, mostly in the field of mental health, but also spent 12 years in the field of hospice and palliative care. He continues to have a small private counseling practice.
John lives in Oberlin, Ohio with his partner Kathy and their dog, Bialy. Their two adult daughters don’t live too far away! John is a lifelong chess player and a lover of music.
