About Our Chapter
Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization that empowers people to experience breakthroughs in exercising their personal and political power. Our chapter originated in December 2016. Most of our members live in New Jersey's 11th Congressional District, which is now represented by Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill. The NJ Morristown chapter is one among more than 500 CCL chapters across the world working to create the political will for a livable world.

We are laser focused on a specific piece of legislation and a proven strategy to gain its passage. We are working for passage of Carbon Fee and Dividend, the climate change solution that economists and climate scientists alike say is the “best first step” to preventing the worst impacts of a warming world. The features of the Energy Innovation and Carbon Divident Act, now in the US House of Representatives as HR 763, would reduce emissions, improve peoples' health, create jobs, and support families and small businesses—all without growing government.

We’ve seen first-hand how, with good training and a well-organized system of support, passionate citizens can influence the political process. Please join us!
