I support carbon pricing that produces meaningful emission reductions by placing a steadily rising fee on all fossil fuels.I support a carbon cashback to support low- and middle-income households by returning proceeds of a carbon price as regular dividend checks to households, like the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (H.R.5744).I support a carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM) that protects U.S. manufacturers and jobs by charging a fee on carbon-intensive goods imported from countries that do not have a carbon emissions reduction program. I support bipartisan comprehensive permitting reform that: accelerates transmission line permitting and construction, reduces the time required to build clean energy projects, enables federal agencies to work together more efficiently and ensures early and continuing engagement with communities impacted by projects.I support climate smart agriculture and forestry. Congress must stand strong on its commitment to our forests and protect and extend the Farm BIll's investments in climate-smart agroforestry.
