Climate change is increasingly hurting Americans across the country, and Republican and Democratic legislators in Congress understand the need to act. To that end, both chambers of Congress have established bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucuses.

Citizens’ Climate Lobby’s persistent grassroots advocacy was instrumental in the formation of the original House caucus in 2016, which inspired the creation of the Senate caucus. Read about our efforts.

The Senate Climate Solutions Caucus was formed in 2019 by Sen. Michael Braun (R-IN) and Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE). The Senate Climate Solutions Caucus is designed to be a small and active working group, focused on solutions.

The House Climate Solutions Caucus was formed in 2016 and is currently chaired by Andrew Garbarino (R-NY-02) and Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA-06). It has already played an important role in facilitating climate change discussions and in the introduction of bipartisan legislation.
