Government Affairs Coordinator
Hardy Almes serves as a Government Affairs Coordinator in the DC office. His work focuses on managing the coalition of volunteers and partner organizations for carbon pricing advocacy efforts. He also facilitates collaborative efforts between national organizations and CCL, which include non-governmental and business entities.
Hardy has 6 years of experience working in Houston’s energy industry. He has been involved with CCL since 2017 first as a volunteer and later as a legislative intern.
Prior to his current role, Hardy completed a master’s degree in Environmental Management from Duke’s Nicholas School of the Environment specializing in Environmental Economics and Policy.
A native of Houston, Hardy grew up in Yorktown Heights, New York and graduated from the University of Houston with a B.S. in Economics and an M.A. in Applied Economics. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and basketball.
