Help Desk Coordinator
Sandy Simon lives in Nipomo on the California Central Coast and began volunteering with Citizens’ Climate Lobby in 2012. She was a group leader in the San Luis Obispo chapter and started the chapter’s writing team.
In 2015, Sandy began working with national CCL as its Help Desk Coordinator, National Resolutions Project Coordinator, and co-leader of the Print Media Action Team. Sandy is now a member of the Membership and Field Development Team.
Prior to her involvement in CCL, Sandy worked for 38 years as a law office manager and legal assistant. In 1989, she began serving as the Executive Director of the San Luis Obispo County Bar Association and started an Alternative Dispute Resolution section. In 1991, Sandy brought mediation services to San Luis Obispo County by forming a nonprofit which created the county’s first mediation center.
In addition to her career in the legal and administrative fields, Sandy served as campaign manager for two countywide political campaigns and for decades had a practice as a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC).
Sandy loves being outdoors, walking with a group she started many years ago, growing a variety of succulents, visiting with family and friends, and reading mystery novels.
