Director of Congressional Liaisons and Lobby Days
As Director of Congressional Liaisons and Lobby Days, Amy Bennett provides training and support to volunteer liaisons as they build relationships with congressional offices and help representatives move up the ladder of support for effective legislative action. She is responsible for organizing CCL’s lobby days in Washington DC, including mentoring liaisons on how to schedule and organize congressional meetings and to maintain productive dialogues throughout the year.
Amy graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Environmental Design; her work as manager of volunteer services at Helen Woodward Animal Center in North San Diego County included knowledge sharing with international shelter executives in addition to local volunteer training and recruitment. Amy’s intense high energy is shared by her border collie, Gina.
